DATA ENGINEER - OPERATIONS

We are looking for a data engineer to join the Data Operations Team. The client is a DataTech company that provides data analytics and AI technology solution, with proprietary data and AI techniques, to transform how organisations conduct business, due diligence and compliance activities.

This role will be on a 12 month contract with roll over.

You will be:

Working with the Data Engineering Team Leader (Operations) in supporting the client with their day-to-day data operations
Collaborating with data scientists and architects in identifying business issues and designing solutions for them
Performing root cause analysis and developing solutions to bugs or issues identified
Exploring ways to enhance data quality and reliability

If you are someone:

with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
with understanding of ETL principles and experience in practical applications.
with experience in maintaining data warehouse / BI systems.
who is experience with using MSSQL and writing complex SQL scripts.
who is familiar with cloud service environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)
with a can-do attitude, and love opportunities to apply your analytical skills to real business problems
with a keen eye for identifying issues and creative in designing solutions.

It’ll be even better if you have:

Data engineering certification (i.e., Google Professional Data Engineering, CCP Data Engineer, etc.)
Hands-on experience with SQL database design

This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will need to have the right to work in Malaysia.
